Introduction of tourist collecting for foreigners in St. Petersburg is way of obtaining the income which answers world practice. According to recently passed classification at present in the city is 1415 hotels, in which more than fifty numbers. From them three-stars more than 300.
Mini-hotels of St. Petersburg, as well as large hotels, will be involved in system of registration of tourist collecting from foreigners which is planned to enter in the city.
According to tourism committee, in St. Petersburg qualification there passed 1415 collective means of placement. In the city more than 300 objects of category of “3 stars”, more than 100 hotels of category “4 stars”, about 100 hotels of category “2 stars”, 26 five-stars hotels and 22 hotels of category “1 star”. In Petersburg more the 800th object is qualified as hostels, mini-hotels, apart-hotels and other means of placement – institutions of these categories occupy about 80 % of the hotel market.
By estimates of representatives of the Ministry of Economics, tourist collecting in St. Petersburg, probably, will be entered after 2020.
